Apostle Dr. Betty Mitchell, Senior Pastor of Thee Shower of BlessingsChurch International (Thee SBCI), carries a life-giving message for thelost, while provoking believers to a deeper and steadfast growth in the Lord Jesus Christ. She holds a Doctor of Ministry Degree in the disciplineof Clinical Pastoral Counseling, and has a heartbeat for the world. Not being bound by four walls, Apostle Mitchell has founded and is a part of multiple outreach and evangelistic groups and events, with focuses on Women’s Ministry and Prophetic Prayer.
Apostle Dr. Betty Mitchell came to know the Lord Jesus Christ in anintimate way and was filled with the Holy Spirit at an early age. Upon thecalling and confirmation of God’s will for her life, she and her latehusband, Bishop Joseph Mitchell, founded Shower of Blessings Church in1981.
In a written expression of his will, Bishop Joseph Mitchell statedhis desire for Apostle Mitchell to become the senior pastor of the church.
Known internationally as an Evangelist, Teacher and Intercessor, she hasworked extensively in the Minnesota prison correctional system, andministered on the mission fields in Honduras and Nicaragua. “I saw the Bible come to life, with signs, wonders and miracles,” Apostle Mitchell stated when being asked about her experiences.
Now leading her congregation through a transition into the apostolic prophetic mode, Apostle Mitchell and Thee SBCI have been given a greater thrust into evangelism, via the Young Adult Council (YAC), Gospel in The City, Esther Call, media ministry, and a street evangelist team. Apostle Mitchell has vowed not to allow her location of operation to constrict or constrain the spreading of the Gospel.
